Four Winds Casino Resort is Open
Sanitation & cleaning protocols have been implemented in accordance with CDC recommendations. The number of guests in the Casino at any given time will be monitored/controlled – for now, the casino will run at 50% capacity until the employees feel comfortable enough to open it up more.
COVID-19 Health and Safety Measures
Upon entering each casino through designated entrances, guests will be required wear a mask and be screened using touchless temperature check technology. The age of guests will be restricted to those 21 and older as some non-gaming amenities will be closed. The number of active slot machines has been reduced and in some cases chairs and machines have been moved while very popular games have plexiglass dividers to help ensure social distancing guidelines. There will also be reduced seating at table games.
Additional cleaning teams have been added in every area of the casinos with a focus on frequent cleaning of high touch surfaces. All Four Winds team members will also be washing and sanitizing their hands more frequently, for at least 20 seconds and practicing respiratory etiquette.
Dining venues will be limited with seating and hours of operation. Touchless menus will be available at each restaurant using a scanned QR code and a disposable menu will be provided upon request. You will notice more spacing in between tables and party sizes will be limited. Self-service beverage stations will now be equipped with a team member for assistance.
Additional procedures and service modifications to protect the health and safety of guests and employees include:
- Masks will be worn by all employees
- Additional signage containing COVID-19 prevention and social distancing reminders with be posted throughout each casino location
- Rescheduled entertainment will be announced as dates are confirmed
- Valet and group shuttle service will not be offered
- The Buffet will be closed

Paying homage to the heritage of the Pokagon Band, Four Winds Casino Resort is situated on a beautiful landscape off of I-94 at Michigan Exit 1 in New Buffalo, Michigan and offers 124,000 square feet of gaming space. It also features a 415-room suite-hotel, four restaurants, entertainment bars and retail shops.

Upon entering Four Winds from its main entrance, guests enter an expansive rotunda, which includes two stunning fireplaces. These fireplaces pay tribute to the Potawatomi Indians, who are known as the 'Keepers of the Fire.' Over the course of the next year, renowned Native American artist Mike Larson will paint four murals in the rotunda that symbolize significant moments of Pokagon Band history. Materials such as copper, cedar wood and stone can be found throughout the property, which are utilized in many tribal ceremonies.

Four Winds Casino Resort is now the single largest employer in the area. Economic studies predict the casino will support 3,500 jobs in the community, including nearly 2,400 at the casino. In addition, it should provide the state of Michigan with an estimated $20 million in annual revenues and provide more than $4 million a year to local governments and agencies.

The Four Winds Casinos are a set of casinos located in the states of Indiana and Michigan in the United States. The casinos are owned by the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians. The primary property is located in New Buffalo Township, Michigan, with satellite locations in Hartford, Michigan; Dowagiac, Michigan; and South Bend, Indiana.

In 2007, as a federally recognized tribe, the Pokagon Band were able to develop and Four Winds New Buffalo on the Pokagon Reservation, in New Buffalo Township in accordance with the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act and a compact with Michigan.[1][2] A second, satellite casino, Four Winds Hartford, opened on August 30, 2011,[3] and a third, Four Winds Dowagiac,[4] opened April 30, 2013.[5][6]

It has since constructed a casino on lands that it claimed qualified for gaming pursuant to specific provisions of the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act, in South Bend, Indiana.[7] The band announced plans in 2012 to build this 164-acre 'tribal village', which includes housing, healthcare, and government facilities, and a casino and hotel.[8] Four Winds South Bend opened January 16, 2018.[9][10]

The casinos utilize a loyalty program, known as the W♣ Players Club or simply the W Club.[11]
On September 5, 2013, a ten-year naming agreement between the casinos and what became known as the Four Winds Field at Coveleski Stadium was announced.[12]
